NZQA Drug Testing for Workplaces
Training staff in correctly performing a urine drug screening test in your workplace is crucial. We can put you in touch with NZQA accredited training providers to deliver training sessions all over NZ to help you with this.
Urine Drug Testing Training
In this course, you will be trained to collect urine for drug testing in accordance with the joint Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 4308:2008.
These courses are held as a half day course over Zoom. Courses have pre-course material to complete. They are interactive, and run with a small group so there is plenty of help available throughout the session. You will come away with a far greater understanding of the processes and logic behind workplace drug testing! The credits received do not need renewing or updating, they are for life.

NZQA credits required for urine workplace drug testing
- Unit Standards 25511: Perform urine drug screening in the workplace
- Unit Standard 25458: Perform urine specimen collection in the workplace for drug testing
These courses are run by ProMed (a registered PTE) and facilitated by Sober Check.
Oral Fluid (Saliva) Drug Testing
Oral fluid drug testing training courses are now available!
These are also a half to one day course. Once completed, you become qualified to the relevant NZQA unit standards.
Depending on the training provider, being qualified for urine drug testing may be a pre-requirement of the course.
